The first Kingdom of Yugoslavia stamps for the collection of unpaid or under-paid postage on letter mail, called Postage Due stamps, were issued in 1921. With the exception of the 1921 issues, which feature the portrait of King Alexander I, all of the Postage Due stamps of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia feature either a denomination numeral or the Coat of Arms as their central design.
The two Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes stamps shown above were overprinted ("PORTO") and re-valued, for use as Postage Due stamps, on April 9, 1921. The stamps are typographed and perforated 11 1/2.

A second type of overprint, with the point of the "1" projecting horizontally, exists on both of these stamps. This overprint variety is much scarcer.
