Swiss Stamps

Commemoratives of 1960-1963

Commemorative Swiss stamps of 1960 to 1963 highlight a number of important special events.

During this period, the Swiss Post continued the practice of issuing most of the commemorative stamps for a particular year at one time, usually in the Spring.  For stamp collectors, this practice makes Swiss commemorative stamps very easy to manage and organize.  Of course there are exceptions, like the annual EUROPA stamps, but they are few in number.

The four commemorative Swiss stamps shown above (Zu. #351-54, Mi. #692-95, Sc. #378-81) were all issued on April 7, 1960.
