The Crown of St. Stephen type stamps of Hungary continued in use between 1888 and 1898, however they went through some significant production changes during that time.
The fourteen Crown of St. Stephen type definitive Hungarian stamps shown above were issued between 1888 and 1898. These stamps of Hungary were printed on paper with a vertical burelage in different colors.
Three paper watermarks were used during this period, and they are described in the column at the right.
These stamps of Hungary continue the Crown of Saint Stephendesign. New denominations were added, and the denomination numerals on these stamps were printed in black or red, instead of in the same color as the stamp.
